NOVEMBER 23, 2011: WEST GATE BANK HIRES STAHL AS ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT OF MORTGAGE LENDING
Lincoln, NE — West Gate Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Marla Stahl, Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Lending, to our staff.
Marla Stahl brings thirty-six years of banking expertise to West Gate Bank. Prior to her new position, she was a branch lending officer for Great Western Bank. As Assistant Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Stahl will provide support for West Gate Bank's correspondent lenders throughout the Midwest. In addition, she will maintain compliance with FNMA, FHA, VA and NIFA guidelines.

NOVEMBER 10, 2011: WEST GATE BANK HIRES MICHEL AS VICE PRESIDENT OF MORTGAGE LENDING UNDERWRITING
Lincoln, NE — West Gate Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Rose Michel, Vice President of Mortgage Lending Underwriting, to our staff.
Rose Michel brings thirty years of banking expertise, eighteen of those in underwriting, to West Gate Bank. Prior to her new position, she was an underwriter for First National Bank of Omaha. As Vice President of the Mortgage Banking division, Michel will handle underwriting services for West Gate Bank’s Wholesale Mortgage Banking division.

JULY 22, 2011: WEST GATE BANK HIRES RUTAN AS VICE PRESIDENT OF THE MORTGAGE BANKING DIVISION
Lincoln, NE — West Gate Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Bob Rutan, Vice President of the Mortgage Banking division, to our staff.
Bob Rutan brings over twenty years of underwriting and marketing experience to West Gate Bank. Prior to his new position, he was an underwriter for First National Bank of Omaha. As Vice President of the Mortgage Banking division, Rutan will handle underwriting and marketing services for West Gate Bank’s Wholesale Mortgage Banking division.

JULY 20, 2011: WEST GATE BANK HIRES ROGERS AS DIRECTOR OF MARKETING
Lincoln, NE — West Gate Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Brooke Rogers, Director of Marketing, to our staff.
Brooke Rogers brings banking, marketing and sales knowledge and experience to her new position. Prior to joining West Gate Bank, she was an Account Manager for over five years at a local advertising agency. As Director of Marketing, Rogers will manage all marketing services for West Gate Bank.
“It is an honor to be joining a local bank with such a long-term commitment to family and the Lincoln community,” Rogers commented. "I am looking forward to contributing to their marketing efforts to reinforce stability and integrity in the local banking community."
Brooke Rogers has been on the Board of Directors of the Lincoln Chapter of the American Marketing Association for four years. Other activities include volunteering at Matt Talbot Kitchen and Make-A-Wish Foundation and serving on the American Red Cross Communications Committee.

JULY 6, 2011: WEST GATE BANK BOARD ELECTS SLOUP EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
West Gate Bank’s Board of Directors has elected Steve Sloup Executive Vice President.
Steve Sloup has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at West Gate Bank since 2006. Sloup has over 30 years of experience in banking in the Lincoln market. As Executive Vice President and CFO, Sloup manages all investments, cash management, accounting and operation divisions for West Gate Bank.
Sloup is active in his support of the following organizations: President of the Lancaster County CASA Board; President of the Continuum EAP Board; Vice Chairman of the Nebraska Bankers Association VEBA Board of Trustees, and is a member of the Governor appointed State Committee on Problem Gambling.

JUNE 8, 2011: WEST GATE BANK HELPS UNITED WAY TO GOAL WITH ADDITIONAL $17,600
On Friday, West Gate Bank presented the United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County with a check for $17,600. These additional donated funds helped the United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County meet their annual goal.
As a community bank, West Gate Bank is proud to support many local organizations to help make Lincoln a better place. When the bank decided to hold a campaign to convert customers to eStatements, the idea was to give customers a chance to do some good as well. For each customer who registered for eStatements, West Gate Bank donated $10 to the United Way because they help so many needy organizations and people in our community. West Gate Bank began this campaign in March and gave each customer who converted to eStatements the chance to contribute to this effort.
West Gate Bank is a locally owned community bank with seven locations in Lincoln. West Gate Bank is committed to providing its customers with all the services a large bank can offer with the outstanding customer service only a community bank can provide.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2010: ARRIGO COMPLETES GRADUATE SCHOOL OF BANKING
John Arrigo, senior vice president and commercial lender at West Gate Bank, has completed the Graduate School of Banking in Colorado. The school provides senior management and leadership training for community banking professionals. During this intensive 25-month banking school, Arrigo completed courses in management, lending, human resource management, and financial management. Completing this school is a significant accomplishment in the banking and financial services industry.
Arrigo has been with West Gate Bank for 14 years and manages the commercial lending area. In addition to his diploma from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, he holds a Business Finance degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Arrigo serves on the YMCA of Lincoln board of directors and is a member of the finance committee. He is also on the board of the YMCA Spirit Soccer Club, is a member of the United Way Victim Safety Allocations Team, works part time on the NEDCO Loan Committee, and helps his wife, Tasha, serve the St. Peter’s Catholic Church as a member of the School Family Association..

SEPTEMBER 1, 2010: WEST GATE BANK LAUNCHES MORTGAGE BANKING FUNCTION TO SERVE COMMUNITY BANKS
West Gate Bank recently launched a new business line focused on purchasing first mortgage home loans originated by community banks in Nebraska. West Gate Bank began this service on September 1, 2010 to provide local service to local bankers in need of a secondary market investor who understands the Nebraska market.
Doug Alford, Bob Gondring, Cheryl Webert, Linda Oestreich, and Rhonda Hardin have joined the West Gate Bank team and together have over 100 years of combined experience in the wholesale mortgage business. All are located at the West Gate Bank Center at 6003 Old Cheney Road in Lincoln.
JULY 20, 2010: ALLISON COMPLETES ADVANCED SCHOOL OF BANKING
Michael Allison, assistant vice president and branch manager at West Gate Bank’s 84th & Eaglecrest location, recently completed the 2009-2010 Advanced School of Banking.
The second year session of the course was held June 14-18, 2010, in Grand Island, Nebraska. The Advanced School of Banking is sponsored by the Kansas and Nebraska Bankers Associations and is endorsed by the Colorado, Louisiana, South Dakota, and Wyoming Bankers Associations. The primary teaching tool in Year 2 is a computer-generated bank management simulation program. During this project students worked in teams as “banks,” making critical management decisions required to successfully operate a commercial bank.
Graduation from this two-week School represents over 60 hours of classroom study and 50 hours of independent study to complete banking research projects. This intense course of study is designed to assist bankers in developing operational and managerial skills to better serve the needs of their banks and their communities.
JULY 6, 2010: WEST GATE BANK WELCOMES BAUER
West Gate Bank is proud to announce Dustin Bauer has joined the bank's lending team. In his role at West Gate Bank, Bauer will be responsible for assisting customers with their business financial needs, as well as commercial real estate loans. “Having been born and raised in Lincoln, I am very excited to work for a locally owned and operated community bank that has had an excellent reputation in the Lincoln community for over 40 years,” stated Bauer.
Bauer received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska with a major in finance. He is active in the Lincoln Young Professionals Group, Lincoln Independent Business Association, and serves on the Ambassador Council for the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce. As loan operations manager, Vicki West has been with West Gate Bank for nine years and has nearly 30 years of experience in loan administration. Under West's leadership, West Gate Bank's loan operations have consistently received high marks from regulators and external loan reviews. Kyle Wooster is a commercial lender for West Gate Bank, assisting customers with their business financial needs, as well as commercial real estate loans. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Concordia University in Seward and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Wooster is a TeamMates mentor, and is involved with Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, Lincoln Literacy Council, Nebraska Coaches Association, and Messiah Lutheran Church. Wooster is a member of the finance committee for Lincoln Lutheran High School and assists with high school basketball. Susan Bredthauer recently joined West Gate Bank as Vice President and Mortgage Loan Officer. Bredthauer has over 20 years of experience helping homebuyers realize their dream of home ownership. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln and is a member of the Realtors Association of Lincoln and the Nebraska Mortgage Association.

As part of a strong commitment to the Lincoln community, West Gate Bank is proud to announce the donation of $5,000 to the Capital Humane Society. West Gate Bank believes in the power of helping our neighbors in the Lincoln community. In addition to monetary donations by West Gate Bank, our employees give their time and talents as volunteers for various civic and charitable organizations in Lincoln.
